Bear attack

Darsh Patel was killed in a wooded area of West Milford and this photo was recovered from the victim’s phone. The picture was taken from about 100 feet away. The bear noticed Patel and his group of hikers who split off to escape from the approaching bear. When the cell phone was discovered it had been punched by the bear’s teeth.
