Highlining is a variation of tightrope walking that is more dangerous than its other forms thanks to the great heights at which it is performed. While a climbing harness can be used, with a connection to the line itself, leash-less highlining is sometimes undertaken as well. The combination of high altitude with a lack of safety precautions means this particular sport has no room for amateurs.
