Also called free solo climbing, free soloing is a form of climbing that involves attempting to scale great heights without the aid of any safety harnesses. Instead of being able to depend on equipment if needed, as a free solo climber, you would be forced to rely on your own abilities and nothing else. As a result of this, falling can lead to serious injuries or even death. Although this method of climbing allows for greater freedom of movement, for obvious reasons it should only be attempted by professionals.
