Try these Flanders:

Duchesse De Bourgogne – Brouwerij Verhaeghe. Duchesse is  6.2% ABV, aged in oak casks. Duchesse has a deep red color, a very vinegary smell, and a sweet taste. It has deep fruity notes to it, black cherries and grapes. It tastes a little like balsamic vinegar, but in a good way.

Red Poppy Ale- The Lost Abbey. Ah, the Los Abbey Brewery in North County San Diego; one of the few SoCal Breweries that makes excellent Belgian Ales. Once you get really into sour ales, we recommend you splurge on a bottle of Red Poppy Ale. Red Poppy is brewed with a brown ale base, and fermented for at least 6 months, it’s a serious sour. Strong cherry flavor and 5.5% ABV. (pictured above)

Zoetzuur Flemish Ale- de Proefbrouwerij. A true Belgian Flanders, Zoetzuur is acidic, tart, and tasty. It has more of a woody taste than the other beers on this list, and is a little less intense. Its 7.0% and has excellent carbonation.
