Robin Roberts, the “Good Morning America” host, came out as gay in a public thank-you note to her girlfriend of over nine years, Amber Laign, for helping her through a bone marrow transplant in order to fight myelodysplastic syndrome. Roberts and Laign had met on a blind date and have been together ever since.
