Rob Thomas successfully used a Kickstarter campaign that closed on 04/128/2013 to fund the Veronica Mars movie. The campaign was developed to revive the character of the young and sassy Private Investor, Veronica Mars from the 2004-2007 television series. In only 10 hours the campaign reached its goal of $2,000,000, and closed with 91,585 backers funding 285% of the funding goal. In March, 2014, Marshmallows where able to enjoy fruits of their funding.
