Musink Music Festival is March 20th-22nd in Costa Mesa, California. It is not your average music festival. Musink is equal parts tattoo convention and music festival. There is a skate demo and a Miss Musink Beauty Competition to find the next “Sullen Angel”. You can listen to rock and American punk music and get a tattoo. Tattoo Artists come from all over and will be administering tattoos on site. Friday tickets are $30, and Saturday or Sunday tickets are $35. You can get an all weekend pass for $85, a single VIP pass for $99, or an all weekend VIP for $199. Get tickets here. VIP gets you special viewing and complimentary drinks. Its an all ages festival, but obviously you need to be 18+ to get tattooed and 21+ to booze. It’s at the OC Fair and Event grounds. It’s put on by Travis Barker, KROQ, and Golden Voice. Speaking of Travis Barker, Blink 182 is headlining and playing Sunday night. Matt Skiba from Alkaline Trio will be playing instead of Tom DeLonge. On Friday night Sick of it All, Rancid, and The Interrupters are performing. Saturday it’s OFF!, Ignite, and Bad Religion. Sunday, playing with Blink-182 is Yellawolf, and Prayers. Doors open at 3:00 pm daily. This is the eighth year the festival has taken place. The first year was sponsored by Kat Von D. Over the years many great bands have played, and this year is shaping up to be a great year. Expect to drink Tecate beers, as they are one of the official sponsors. Tickets are cheap, but we expect the tattoos won’t be. Bring cash if you want to get inked and avoid the most pit after you do. See you there!
