Deceased rock musician Frank Zappa is the father of Moon Unit, who was named after a solar system satellite. Zappa was once interviewed regarding his children’s unique names, and he explained that since he knew his children would all have unique attributes, he wanted to ensure they had unique names. Had Moon been a boy, Zappa stated during an interview that his name would have been “Motorhead.”
