Scottish born Andy Murray is one of several young tennis players climbing the singles rankings in recent years. Since 2007 Murray has won two grand slam titles with 2012 being a banner year in which he not only won the 2012 Olympic Gold Medal but also defeated Novak Djokovic in the Wimbledon final to become the first player from the UK to win the Wimbledon singles title in 35 long years.
