While China was clearly set upon a path to develop a more advanced military after the conclusion of the First Gulf War, an event much closer to home only helped to reinforce Beijing’s worst fears, which drove China to develop what many of people in the press have named “the carrier-killer” or DF-21D.
All of these wonderful yet terrifying contraptions cement the fact that China is not to messed with and -should the need arise- they’re more than capable of giving the U.S. a run for its money in an all-out war.
