This fish is the stuff of nightmares. It’s easy to envision it as a horrific alien creature terrorizing spacefarers in a sci-fi thriller. It’s mottled, dark flesh and glowing, wide eyes are paired with a mouthful of wickedly sharp, oversized fang-like teeth. It uses a bioluminescent appendage hanging from its chin to lure prey to an unfortunate demise.
