8) Giant Ostracod/Seed Shrimp

These strange creatures have hinged bodies, similar to a shellfish, that allow them to hide within an orb-like pod with only their featherlike antennae sticking out. They look very much like shrimp tucked away inside a translucent pearl. They get around by using their antennae to row, and these hardworking appendages are also used to feel around and feed.
