Picked by the Vikings 12th overall in the 2011 draft, it’s safe to say that Christian Ponder hasn’t lived up to expectations in his time with the Vikings. He has been buried on the depth chart, and is no longer viewed as Minnesota’s long-term solution at quarterback.
His long-term romantic outlook, however, could not be any better, thanks to his gorgeous wife Samantha Ponder. An ESPN sideline reporter and studio co-host, Samantha Ponder said that she knew he was the one for her shortly after meeting him. Their romance kicked off because Christian wrote Samantha on Twitter. Their romance has blossomed since then, with the Ponders welcoming their daughter Bowden in 2014. Fittingly, their daughter was named after Florida State coach Bobby Bowden, a legendary coach at Ponder’s alma mater.
