Growing up to 12 foot leg spans and weighing up to 42 pounds, these crabs earned their name. They are known for causing traumatic injuries with their powerful claws and exceptional reach. They sometimes decorate their shells with other sea animals to blend in and avoid predators and can live to be a hundred years old.
